How many CPD hours do I have to complete to fulfil my professional requirements?

You need to complete a minimum of 5 hours in a real-time workshop or webinar in the required CPD (continuing professional development) professional area in the 2024-2025 CPD year. Our Residential Property Managers, Real Estate Salespeople, Commercial Real Estate Agents and Short-term Residential Property Managers CPD bundles are all 5 hours in duration to meet this NSW Fair Trading requirement.If you prefer to complete CPD online at your own pace (i.e. eLearn), the minimum requirement is 10 hours. For the eLearn version of the course, you receive the same content as the real-time workshop, with the addition of topics relevant to your professional area chosen, to make up the 10 hour requirement.

I’m pretty confident with my skills, can’t I just complete a test to fulfil my CPD requirements?

NSW Fair Trading specifies CPD requirements in hours, not just the completion of a test. The purpose of continuing professional development is to ensure all agents are across new industry developments, changes to legislation, and any major industry news impacting the way agents conduct their day-to-day operations. Therefore, the workshops are a way of carving out time to ensure this purpose is fulfilled.

Can I get an RPL for CPD courses?

Unfortunately, you cannot get an RPL for a CPD course. This is only available for qualifications courses, like the Certificate IV or the Diploma.
